WAKE ANIMAL ADVOCATES GROUP
WAAG is a nonprofit corporation
Supporting Animals:
WAAG currently places sponsorships on animals at the Wake County Animal Center to help reduce the cost of adoptions. The second Saturday of each month, WAAG takes animals to pet stores in an effort to educate the public of the need to find loving homes for homeless animals. As we grow, we also hope to assist adopters with the cost of treating a heartworm positive pet.
Preventing Cruelty to Animals:
By educating the public about the signs of cruelty and promoting cruelty prevention tips, we hope to raise awareness of this issue, and help to save animals in the process.
Supporting Spay and Neutering Programs:
WAAG supports the efforts for spay/neuter education and clinic programs. With your help as a volunteer or member, we can support the cause by promoting the importance of this effort. In order to decrease the number of animals in the Center, spay and neuter programs need our support.
Volunteer With Us:
WAAG works closely with the Wake County Animal Center in Raleigh, North Carolina to conduct special projects which assisst homeless animals. These projects can vary from toy drives to publicity events. We are searching for people who are committed to helping the animals at the Wake County Animal Center. There are many ways to get involved, and we welcome the opportunity to talk with you more about volunteering or becoming a member of our group.
